LA CROSSE, WI —  The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) endorsed former small business owner, Congressman Derrick Van Orden for his 2026 re-election.

The endorsement was announced Monday at Nick’s Bar in West Salem, a local small business and NFIB member.

Founded in 1942, NFIB is a nonpartisan, member-driven organization advocating on behalf of America’s small and independent business owners, both in Washington, D.C., and in all 50 states.

The endorsement comes as Van Orden continues traveling across Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District, meeting with small business owners and highlighting the hardworking men and women who keep local communities moving.

“Since I came to Congress, one of my top priorities has been creating jobs that allow people to build a future for their families and making sure Wisconsin remains a place where we can still achieve the American Dream. Our district is proof that when hard working Americans are given the freedom, there’s no limit to what they can accomplish. I’m proud to have NFIB’s endorsement and will continue fighting for the small businesses that keep Wisconsin moving forward,” said Van Orden.

“Small businesses face many challenges every day,” said Luke Bacher, WI State Director for the NFIB. “Derrick Van Orden has earned our endorsement for his strong pro-small business voting record, which includes extending the 20% small business  deduction along with fighting red tape like the invasive Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) regulation.”
