Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, All in Wisconsin, and Wisconsin Voices invite all Wisconsin residents to add their voice to a community-driven policy platform

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Our Wisconsin People’s Platform – a new coalition between All in Wisconsin, Wisconsin Voices, and Wisconsin Democracy Campaign – launched its community survey, which opens the doors for residents across the state to help shape a people-powered policy agenda. 

“Wisconsin has entered a new political era with fair state voting maps, leadership changes, more competitive elections, and growing public engagement,” said Nick Ramos, Executive Director of Wisconsin Democracy Campaign. “Too often, policy conversations don’t start until after the election, but OWPP is flipping the script and empowering Wisconsin voters, community groups, and advocates to build a strong policy platform now.” 

“OWPP is about thinking bigger and imagining our state’s full potential,” said Dr. Cass Bowers, Executive Director of All in Wisconsin. We can build a Wisconsin where we not just survive but thrive with freedom, safety, justice, and joy. We have to ensure that everyone is represented at the table.” 

Earlier this summer, gubernatorial candidates were invited to answer direct questions about their policy proposals. Now, the community survey is the next phase in OWPP, aiming to center lived community experiences in policy-making. 

“The next state legislative session will be here before we know it,” said David Bowen, Executive Director of Wisconsin Voices. “With new leaders taking office across the Wisconsin government, now is the time to define the priorities we want them to address.”

Responses will inform priorities across topics including civil rights, healthcare, the justice system, affordability, education, data centers, the environment, local control, and more. The final platform is expected to be released in late September, 2026. 

How to participate: The community survey is open to all Wisconsin residents and takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. The survey is open until September 15, 2026. OWPP will use the data to craft real, meaningful solutions. >>>Take the survey here.
