GOP gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany has launched a new ad hitting Dem David Crowley on taxes.
Tiffany’s ad is the eighth statewide spot of his campaign. A spokesperson didn’t immediately respond to a request for details about the buy. According to AdImpact, Tiffany has now laid down $10.5 million in reservations for the campaign, including $4.2 million since the primary.
The narrator opens the spot telling viewers to “Say hello to David Crowley, and say good-bye to your hard-earned money.”
The narrator says Crowley nearly doubled sales taxes, raised property taxes five times and voted no when working families needed a tax cut. The narrator adds Crowley “wants to take his tax-hiking record statewide,” saying he wants to tax the “money you earn, the home you own, the things you need.”

The narrator closes the ad, “Higher taxes, higher costs. Wisconsin can’t afford David Crowley.”
The ad comes after Crowley last week launched his first spot of the general election campaign, including the line that he delivered “the largest property tax cut in our history.”
