In her latest ad, Dem 3rd CD candidate Rebecca Cooke knocks GOP rival U.S. Rep. Derrick Van Orden for “voting to cut healthcare.”
The 30-second ad begins by introducing Tim from Eau Claire who explains that he suffered a stroke in 2019, and required follow up appointments with a neurologist every six months.
However, following the closure of the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire in May 2024, Tim says he lost his doctor.
“And yet Derrick Van Orden is not only taking money from healthcare companies, he’s voting to cut healthcare, voting to find money for the wars, but yet we’re losing local hospitals here in Wisconsin,” Tim says.

The ad ends with Tim and Cooke walking through a park with a dog.
