MADISON, Wis. — On the heels of the glitzy White House Rose Garden dinner where Trump promised to campaign for MAGA Congressman Tom Tiffany, saying “I will be with you 100% all the way to November,” WisGOP Chair Brian Schimming was asked if Tiffany was distancing himself from Trump. His response?
“No, I’ve never gotten any sense of that. If he was going to…he could’ve done that a long time ago.”
“MAGA Republican leaders from D.C. to Wisconsin are making it clear that Congressman Tom Tiffany is in lockstep with them and their cost-raising agenda,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “Congressman Tiffany has voted with Trump 100% of the time. There has never been any daylight between Tiffany and Trump — and there never will be.”
When Trump endorsed Tiffany, he even said his loyal MAGA congressman has “always been at my side.”
