DALLAS, TX — The National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) yesterday endorsed Congressman Derrick Van Orden for re-election in Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District.

Paul Perez, President of the National Border Patrol Council, announced the endorsement Wednesday in Dallas during the Republican National Convention’s first-ever midterm convention.

“Congressman Derrick Van Orden is a proven champion for border security and a relentless supporter of the men and women of the National Border Patrol Council. As a retired Navy SEAL, he knows what it means to put America first and we know he has the backs of law enforcement nationwide,” said Perez.”The National Border Patrol Council is proud to endorse Congressman Derrick Van Orden because Wisconsin needs a fighter who will continue to stand with law enforcement, secure our border, and put the safety of Americans first.”

“I am honored to have the support of the National Border Patrol Council. I spent 26 years serving alongside Americans who put service before self, and I know the character it takes to do this job every day. Rebecca Cooke would be a rubber stamp for Democrats’ disastrous border policies. I will always stand with the men and women protecting our border and fighting to keep our country safe,” said Van Orden.
