MADISON, Wis. — Tom Tiffany’s billionaire backers will do just about anything to buy this election for him. According to breaking reporting by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, that now includes trying to cover up a crime.
The reporting reveals that a canvasser for Restoration of America PAC — a super PAC that has taken millions from out-of-state billionaire Richard Uihlein to boost Tom Tiffany while both Elizabeth and Richard Uihlein have spent over $35m to back Republicans up and down the ballot— struck and grievously injured a bicyclist in Washington County and drove off. According to the criminal complaint, his supervisor responded by sending him back to his Milwaukee Airbnb and booking him a flight home.
“Two out-of-state billionaires are so obsessed with buying the election for Tom Tiffany they’ll spare no expense– including helping one of their employees who committed a brutal hit-and-run flee the state,” said WisDems Chair Devin Remiker. “Tom Tiffany should demand Restoration PAC shut down its Wisconsin operation today before anybody else gets hurt. If he won’t, Wisconsinites will know exactly who he answers to — and they’ll remember in November.”
