MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers announced today that he is seeking applicants for the Court of Appeals – District III. The appointment will fill a vacancy being created by Presiding Judge Lisa K. Stark’s retirement, effective Dec. 28, 2026. The new judge will complete a term ending July 31, 2029.

District III consists of Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Brown, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Door, Douglas, Dunn, Eau Claire, Florence, Forest, Iron, Kewaunee, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Oneida, Outagamie, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Shawano, St. Croix, Taylor, Trempealeau, Vilas, and Washburn counties.
