MADISON, Wis. — At a campaign event in Milwaukee, staff for Congressman Tom Tiffany’s campaign for governor blocked an investigative reporter and another reporter from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the paper of record in Wisconsin, from attending. This comes as Trump bans major news networks from the White House press pool.
“Congressman Tiffany has supported attempts to overturn elections and now he is blocking the press from covering his campaign,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “It is absolutely disqualifying for Congressman Tiffany to continue to follow Trump’s example and ban the free press. Congressman Tiffany is already hiding from voters —what would he hide from Wisconsinites as governor?”
