The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed improvements on US 151 from Main Street to South Junction of County VV in Sun Prairie, Dane County.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Sun Prairie City Hall, 300 E Main Street, Sun Prairie. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.
The purpose of this project is to address deteriorating pavement and safety along US 151. Proposed improvements include pavement resurfacing, concrete ramp repair, asphalt ramp resurfacing, spot replacing curb and gutter, replacing curb ramps as needed, repair of retaining walls, structure repair work, guardrail replacement and grading. Construction is anticipated in 2032.
