Polk County, WI — Erik Severson, Republican candidate for State Senate in Wisconsin’s 25th
Senate District, has been endorsed by two of Wisconsin’s most prominent agricultural
organizations: the Dairy Business Association (DBA) and the Wisconsin Farm Bureau
Federation’s Volunteers for Agriculture (VFA) PAC.

“I am grateful to receive the endorsement of both the Dairy Business Association and the
Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Volunteers for Agriculture,” stated Severson. “Agriculture is the
backbone of rural Wisconsin, and the families who farm this land deserve a senator who
understands their challenges and will fight for policies that keep their operations viable. These
endorsements reflect my commitment to strengthening rural communities, protecting our water
quality, and ensuring that Madison doesn’t forget who feeds this state.”

Both organizations are bipartisan and select endorsed candidates through rigorous evaluation
processes. DBA, Wisconsin’s leading dairy advocacy group, evaluates candidates on their
alignment with priorities including strengthening rural communities, preserving the dairy industry,
and protecting water quality. VFA’s endorsement committee is comprised of 18 farmers from
across Wisconsin who use a grassroots process that includes local county Farm Bureau input,
candidate interviews, and positions on key agricultural issues. “Dairy farmers are the backbone
of Wisconsin, which is why it is critical to support candidates who advocate for sound policies
and regulations in Madison,” said Greg Siegenthaler, DBA Board President.

During his two terms in the State Assembly, Severson built a strong record of supporting rural
communities — voting for Act 10 to keep property taxes manageable for farm families, authoring
legislation to invest in trail infrastructure and the outdoor recreation economy, co-sponsoring
wolf hunting legislation to give farmers a tool for managing livestock depredation, and
expanding rural healthcare access as Chairman of the Assembly Health Committee.

“These endorsements confirm what I’ve been hearing at every farm gate and county fair across
the 25th District — farmers and rural families need a senator who will fight for them, not one
who answers to Madison,” Severson said. “I’ve delivered for rural Wisconsin before, and I’ll do it
