MILWAUKEE – Three billionaires are trying to buy Wisconsin’s governor’s office for Congressman Tom Tiffany, as new campaign finance reports show that they’ve funneled nearly $24 million to his campaign through the Republican Party of Wisconsin. That’s 90% of the total he raised, donated by three people.

David Crowley released the following statement:

“These billionaires aren’t spending this kind of money to help Wisconsin families. They’re doing it because they know Congressman Tom Tiffany will do their bidding, the same way he did in Washington when he protected billionaires in the Epstein files and gave his donors massive tax cuts. I’ll always work for Wisconsin, but Tiffany will  always work for Donald Trump and his billionaire donors – and that’s the choice in this election.”

According to campaign finance reports, the money behind Congressman Tiffany’s campaign totals up to $62 million. Here’s how the math breaks down:

  • $34.4 million from Richard Uihlein, Elizabeth Uihlein, and Diane Hendricks, funneled to Tom Tiffany through the Republican Party of Wisconsin
  • $11.3 million in spending by Restoration of America PAC, funded largely by Richard Uihlein
  • $9.3 million in spending by First Amendment LLC, a Virginia-based group that doesn’t have to disclose its donors
  • $2 million in spending by the Republican Governors Association’s Right Direction Wisconsin PAC
  • $5 million in spending by the Koch network group Americans for Prosperity

Totaling $62 million in spending.
