In her latest ad, 3rd CD Dem challenger Rebecca Cooke says it’s important to have members of Congress that “support law enforcement.”
The 30-second spot is running in the Eau Claire, La Crosse and Wausau media markets.
The ad begins with Rod, introduced as a retired prosecutor, recounting milking cows during his first year as a prosecutor. Cooke and Rod are then shown having coffee together, and the two talk about their shared background of growing up on a dairy farm learning how to “work hard” and “play by the rules.”
“I come from a family of veterans, it’s so important that we have members of Congress that support law enforcement,” Cooke says.
Cooke is facing a 2024 rematch against U.S. Rep. Derrick Van Orden, R-Prairie du Chien, after he narrowly defeated her by a few percentage points.
“I was a prosecutor with 32 years in the justice system. Rebecca, I know you support law enforcement. You’ve got our back and we’ve got your back too,” Rod says.
