(Fond du Lac, WI) – Today, Congressman Glenn Grothman announced that he has earned the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to represent Wisconsin’s Sixth Congressional District. The U.S. Chamber endorses candidates for federal office who will support policies that drive innovation, grow the economy, and create opportunities for American businesses and workers.
“It has never been more important to support small business and American workers,” said Grothman. “That is why I was proud to vote for legislation this Congress that will keep more money in the pockets of working Americans. No tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and reducing taxes on small businesses have and will continue to lead to economic growth in Wisconsin and ensure workers have the resources to take care of their families. Thank you to the U.S. Chamber and WMC for putting your trust in me. I will continue to be a champion for working Americans and advocate for policies that keep and grow Wisconsin’s important manufacturing and agriculture industries.
“Wisconsin is home to the second highest number of manufacturing jobs as a percentage of workforce, and I am proud to call this state home. We do see a lack of skilled workers and while we have already made progress, we still must encourage more young people to explore a career in the trades. Bringing high-tech, skilled manufacturing jobs back home and coupling that with competitive tax policies is the key to keeping America a leader in the world market.”
“The U.S. Chamber is proud to endorse Congressman Glenn Grothman to represent Wisconsin’s Sixth Congressional District. Congressman Grothman has been a consistent advocate for free enterprise policies that support job creators, expand economic opportunity, and reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens on businesses. His commitment to strengthening Wisconsin’s workforce and creating a competitive environment for employers has made him an important partner for the business community. We look forward to continuing to work together in the 120th Congress,” said John Kirchner, Vice President of the Chamber’s Midwest regional office.
“Congressman Grothman throughout his career has been focused on growing Wisconsin’s manufacturing sector. From authoring the state’s manufacturing and agriculture tax credit to voting for incentives for manufacturers to expand their facilities in the United States, Congressman Grothman has been a champion for manufacturers and their employees. We thank Congressman Grothman for his tireless work to bring well-paying, family sustaining manufacturing jobs to Wisconsin,” said Kurt Bauer, President and CEO of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce.
