EAU CLAIRE, Wisc. —  Today, the Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin’s Eau Claire and La Crosse locals announced their support for Rebecca Cooke adding to the over 20 Wisconsin labor organizations that have now endorsed Cooke’s campaign.

“As a sister of a PFFW member, I know what these men and women sacrifice to keep our communities safe,” said Rebecca Cooke. “I’m honored to have the support of the Eau Claire and La Crosse Firefighters, who run toward danger to keep us safe. In Congress, I’ll work to pass the PFAS Alternative Act and PRO Act — top priorities of firefighters across this Wisconsin.”

“La Crosse firefighters live in this community, raise our families here, and answer the call when our neighbors need us,” said La Crosse Local 127 President Brandon Gritt. “Rebecca Cooke understands that keeping a community safe takes real investment. She’s a fighter who’ll stand up for Western Wisconsin, and we’re proud to endorse her.”

“As firefighters, we see firsthand how important it is to have leaders who care about public safety, stand up for working families, and ensure our communities have the resources they need to thrive,” said Eau Claire Local 487 President Tom Wallin. “We’re proud to support Rebecca Cooke and look forward to working together to make a positive difference for the families, first responders, and communities across Western Wisconsin.”
