Dem AG Josh Kaul has launched the first TV ad of his reelection bid, touting his efforts to keep kids safe.

AdImpact had tracked a nearly $1.5 million buy from Kaul’s campaign that runs through the Nov. 3 election.

Kaul narrates his new 30-second ad, saying he’s helped put predators behind bars and helped win a settlement “forcing the world’s largest social media company to pay billions and protect our kids’ mental health.” The spot then plays a news clip of a reporter saying Meta agreed to put new safeguards in place to protect children.

Kaul then says he worked with Republicans and Democrats to make schools safer before closing the spot, “because it’s my job to protect our kids no matter where they are.”
