(Fond du Lac, WI) – Today, Congressman Glenn Grothman released his first campaign ad of the 2026 cycle, “Back Pay”.
The ad focuses on Frank and his son Greg. Frank, a Vietnam veteran with dementia, lost his military benefits last year. His caretaker, Greg, was stuck in the federal bureaucracy trying to get his dad’s benefits back. After they called Glenn Grothman, he was able to work with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) and Frank received every dime of his back pay.
“We must always protect America’s veterans who have sacrificed so much to keep us safe,” said Grothman. “When Greg called my office, I knew we had to act fast. One of the most rewarding parts of being your representative is helping Wisconsinites fix problems they are having with the federal government. I will continue to be your advocate in Washington.”
You can watch “Back Pay” here.
Transcript of “Back Pay” is below:
Frank: I’m Frank and this is my son Greg
Greg: My dad is a retired Vietnam Veteran. He has dementia, now I take care of him. Fifteen months ago, my dad’s military pay stopped. I was getting nowhere with DC.
Frank: Bureaucracy sucks.
Greg: So I called Glenn Grothman’s office. They uncovered what the specific error was after months and months of frustration. Glenn Grothman’s office helped me get my dad’s benefits back. My dad had this country’s back, and when Washington did not, Glenn Grothman did.
Frank: I’m Frank and I approve this message.
