NFIB announces support for pro-Main Street candidates running for federal office
MADISON, Wis. (Oct. 19, 2026) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed the following candidates for election to the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Wisconsin:
- Rep. Bryan Steil (WI-01)
- Rep. Derrick Van Orden (WI-03)
- Rep. Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05)
- Rep. Glenn Grothman (WI-06)
- Michael Alfonso (WI-07)
- Rep. Tony Wied (WI-08)
“The candidates we endorsed have demonstrated a commitment to the small business owners who power Wisconsin’s economy,” said Luke Bacher, NFIB Wisconsin State Director. “Main Street businesses need champions in Congress who understand the real-world impact of taxes, regulations, and workforce challenges. We are proud to endorse these candidates and look forward to working with them to advance policies that help small businesses succeed and our economy thrive.”
“Wisconsin small businesses are the foundation of the state’s economy,” said Louis Bertolotti, NFIB Political Director. “Electing legislators who prioritize independent businesses will allow owners to continue to operate and grow. The candidates we endorsed have pledged to build on last year’s great win of making the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent. We are excited to work with them in Washington during the 120th Congress.”
The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by the NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation.
