MADISON, Wis. – Corrupt Democrat David Crowley is facing even more questions about his personal ethics with just two weeks to go until Election Day.
A new report shows that under Crowley’s leadership, Milwaukee County has been using taxpayer funds for the “year-round promotion” of Democratic strategist Michelle Bryant’s radio show. This is worrisome because Bryant has also been an “outspoken advocate for Crowley’s campaign,” and even visited a high school to register students to vote in the upcoming election.
This comes as Crowley faces another growing ethics scandal, following the revelation that he funneled tens of millions of taxpayer funds to an organization that employed his wife. New reporting shows that millions were sent before Crowley disclosed his conflict of interest.
“David Crowley hasn’t just proven to be an abysmal steward of taxpayer dollars, he’s also incapable of upholding the public’s trust. Wisconsin deserves better than a Governor who taxes us into poverty and then funnels our money to serve his own interests.” said WisGOP Spokesperson Anika Rickard.
Background:
The Milwaukee County Office of Equity, which David Crowley created, sponsors a “year-round radio promotion of ‘Say Something Real with Michelle Bryant’ on WNOV.” A program the radio show was involved in received over $2 million
This show with Michelle Bryant has a history of conflicts. In October 2019, Urban Milwaukee reported that Bryant was hosting two shows on WNOV, while also collecting a salary as chief of staff for State Sen. Lena Taylor, who was running for mayor at the time. Bryant used her show to help Taylor’s campaign, leading to her two week suspension by WNOV in April 2020.

David Crowley ignored Bryant’s suspension for promoting her bosses’ political campaign while collecting a taxpayer funded salary and sent public dollars to the very same show to promote his own gubernatorial campaign.
