Racine, WI — Today, the Mitchell Berman for Congress campaign released a new ad, “Betrayal,” featuring southeast Wisconsin voters who previously voted for Bryan Steil. In the ad, former Steil voters say they’re no longer supporting Bryan Steil after he went to Washington and became part of the problem – voting to raise our taxes, gut our healthcare, and jack up premiums.

“Steil was supposed to look out for us,” one voter said. “Now we’re the ones paying the bill,” said another.

The ad highlights Bryan Steil’s record of voting to line the pockets of his billionaire donors while his net worth has doubled, leaving Wisconsin’s working families to foot the bill as their prices go up:

  • Doubled his net worth: Bryan Steil’s net worth has more than doubled since assuming office, reaching nearly $2 million in 2024. His 2025 portfolio was ranked as the fourth most profitable in Congress.

With one week until election day, Berman is positioned to win what has become one of the country’s most competitive House races. A recent House Majority PAC poll shows Berman leading Steil by one point (48-47). This poll follows two other public polls that show the race within one point. Cook Political Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball recently shifted ratings toward Berman, and the race is on the DCCC’s priority “Red to Blue” list.
