| WAUSAU, WI – Today, the Tiffany for Wisconsin campaign announced the release of two new ads targeting David Crowley’s radical record on school policies and race-based decision-making in Milwaukee County. Both ads conclude with the message: “David Crowley’s radical agenda is not for you.” AD ONE: Tampons in Boys’ Bathrooms and Girls’ Sports The first ad highlights Crowley’s support for taxpayer-funded tampons in boys’ public school bathrooms and his opposition to legislation protecting women’s sports. During his time in the Wisconsin State Legislature, Crowley cosponsored legislation requiring menstrual products in public buildings and schools, including boys’ bathrooms, at taxpayer expense. Crowley has also made clear that he would veto legislation prohibiting biological males from competing in girls’ sports. AD TWO: Race-Based Government Decisions in Milwaukee County The second ad focuses on Crowley’s racial-based initiatives in Milwaukee County, including policies directing county departments to consider race in hiring, spending, budgeting, and other government decisions. Under Crowley’s leadership, Milwaukee County implemented a “Racial Equity Budget Tool” and directed departments to “apply a racial equity lens to all decisions,” including hiring, spending, and budgeting decisions. The ad also highlights Crowley’s characterization of beer gardens, golf, and boating as contributing to systemic racism because they are “predominately supported by white users.” Watch the two new digital ads here: Ad One and Ad Two. |
