Menasha, Wis. – Following the final results in Assembly District 53, Becky Nichols will be the next representative to the State Assembly. Becky Nichols released the following statement:
“I want to sincerely thank the voters of this community for putting their trust in me, the volunteers who supported this campaign, and my friends and family for their encouragement over the last several months. We know that better is possible, and I am honored to take on the hard work of making healthcare more affordable and accessible, ensuring our schools and educators have the support they need, and lowering costs for Wisconsin families.
“It is hard to imagine how far we have come since July’s devastating tornado. Without hesitation, we rolled up our sleeves and worked together to help our neighbors, friends, family members, and even strangers. As a community, we have made steady progress. That same spirit of collaboration and commitment is what I will bring to Madison. I promise to keep showing up, working hard and represent your voices in the State Assembly, and fight for a Wisconsin where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
“I have always said, we must work together to make our community better. I am proud to be your next Assembly Representative. Let’s get to work!”
