WASHINGTON – Delaware Lt. Governor Kyle Evans Gay, Chair of the Democratic Lt. Governors Association (DLGA), released the following statement congratulating Sarah Godlewski on tonight’s victory in Wisconsin:“

Congratulations to Secretary Sarah Godlewski on her victory in Wisconsin. As the state’s next Lt. Governor, Sarah will fight for the kitchen table issues that matter most and hold big corporations accountable on behalf of working people.“

A fifth-generation Wisconsinite from Eau Claire, the daughter of two public school teachers, and a product of a union home, Sarah has never been afraid to take on the tough fights and deliver results. As State Treasurer, she managed a $1.6 billion public trust fund and steered more than $299 million into renewable energy and community development projects across the state. As Secretary of State, she made a record-breaking $65 million distribution to Wisconsin’s Common School Fund.“

“We look forward to welcoming Lt. Governor-elect Sarah Godlewski into the DLGA family and to all she will accomplish alongside Governor-elect Crowley for Wisconsin’s working families.”
