Polk County, WI — Republican Erik Severson was elected as the next State Senator for the
25th District, securing a 52.8 percent victory and will take office in January.
“Throughout this entire campaign, I have relied on the support of God, my family, and an
incredible group of volunteers throughout the eight counties that make up the 25th Senate
District,” stated Severson. “I am honored to have been given the support of the voters here in
Northwestern Wisconsin, to go to Madison and stand up for common, conservative values that
the people here hold dear.
“While the overall, statewide results may not have gone the way I was hoping, that doesn’t
change the fact that the work starts now. Fighting to lower taxes, support job growth and put
money back in the hands of taxpayers where it belongs. I look forward to getting to work with my
colleagues in the Senate and Assembly to move Wisconsin forward in a direction that reflects
Northwoods values.”
