Dem lawmakers, with the backing of Gov. Tony Evers, today unveiled an $892.3 million tax cut targeting middle-class earners that would cap a credit for manufacturers to help cover more than half the cost.
The proposal would cap the credit for manufacturers to the first $300,000 of income. That would generate $518 million over the 2019-21 budget, according to documents from the Evers office.
