Wisconsin voters soundly rejected two constitutional amendments that sought to give lawmakers input on how some federal money is spent rather than leaving that solely up to the governor. Meanwhile, Rebecca Cooke won a three-way Dem primary to take on freshman U.S. Rep. Derrick Van Orden, R-Prairie du Chien, in the 3rd CD. And Tony Wied won a three-way GOP primary to face Dem Kristin Lyerly in the open 8th CD.

Freshman GOP Rep. Nate Gustafson, of Fox Crossing, defeated 12-year incumbent Michael Schraa, of Oshkosh, today after the two were paired in the same district under the new maps. Meanwhile, Rep. Elijah Behnke beat state Rep. Peter Schmidt in their GOP primary for the 6th AD after he decided to run for that district rather than the one he was drawn into under the new maps.

Trump-endorsed Tony Wied declared victory tonight in 8th CD GOP primary and will face Dem Kristin Lyerly in November.

State Rep. John Spiros beat fellow Marshfield Republican Rep. Donna Rozar in a three-way GOP primary for the 86th AD.
