Wisconsin housing prices are through the roof! Wisconsin prices are some of the worst in the U.S. and the worst in the Midwest. Some counties have had housing costs rise more than others but on net balance, all Wisconsin housing is more expensive. It’s supply and demand: there ain’t enough houses.

While prices were rising during the past few years, wages for many of us were climbing even faster. It may not feel like it, but on average, we actually came out ahead.

Baldwin is unrelenting in her support of families and the care economy not only because she listens to the needs and concerns of everyday Wisconsinites, but because she shares the experience of having provided care to loved ones.

The cure for the ills of democracy in Wisconsin and nationally is voting. When we vote we help to cure the sickness of citizen disengagement that afflicts us as well as the despair, pessimism and cynicism that accompanies that sickness. When we vote we become a healthier and more empowered citizenry.

When conservatives govern as conservatives, they win. Why? Because conservative policies work, and people vote for policies that work.

he 1994 Crime Bill had very little impact on crime. In the U.S., as in Wisconsin, there is almost no relationship between crime levels and prison population levels. The Crime Bill did, however, devastate many communities, especially low-income communities and communities of color.

A look at the Assembly contest between incumbent Todd Novak and challenger Elizabeth Grabe

Wisconsin finally has new, fairer maps for its state legislature. And for the first time in a long time, either party could win the majority in the State Assembly.

My detractors will say this article is xenophobic. To them, I will say there is nothing xenophobic about demanding to follow the rule of law that this country was built on. I support legal immigration. I do not support importing lawlessness and degradation.

JD Vance, who has been a key figure in promoting the pet-eating story, tipped his hand about this motives when he posted on X that “it’s possible, of course, that all of these rumors will turn out to be false.” But he encouraged supporters to continue repeating them, writing in a second post, “Keep the cat memes flowing.”

What I find as troubling as the overt and conservative-driven racism is that one of the fundamental themes of our nation is so effortlessly thrown away. If you listen to the blather from Vance, it soon becomes obvious that he cottons to the odious notion that some Americans ‘are more American’ than others.
