The Senate brought forth a bi-partisan border bill that was welcomed by the Border Patrol union. Without reading the bill, House Speaker Johnson, announced the bill was dead on arrival.
Of all the issues that were being attempted to be hashed out and placed into a border bill, the most vulnerable were tossed under the political bus as Republicans simply refused to entertain the need for basic humanity.
The role African Americans played and continue to play in the history of the United States has all too often been ignored, and in many cases has been completely distorted and dismissed.
Making our culture about our politics divides America, and misses what a song can do for a kid from rural Wisconsin.
In recent years, the trend has been to restrict or eliminate such comments. The latest move in our region came on Feb. 1, when the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the state’s biggest newspaper, announced it would stop allowing reader comments to be appended to any of its stories.
The youth of our country are our future. It is good to know there are patriots who are active with the Young Republicans in shaping the future of our state and Nation.
What is most concerning is that despite public education efforts, vaccination rates overall have continued to wane in 2023 and through the start of 2024 for illnesses like influenza, Covid-19 and RSV.
