GOP activists vote down calling for conflict of interest policy amid tensions between leadership, grassroots groups

Republican activists today voted against calling for the state party to implement a conflict of interest policy that would ban members of the executive committee from advocating for or representing “the interests of any competing organization.” The nonbinding resolution proposed a series of restrictions for executive committee members, including bans on sharing sensitive party information with a competing organization or unlawfully coordinating with another group.
