Elections Commission denies ballot access to four Assembly candidates

The Elections Commission has unanimously voted to deny four Assembly candidates ballot access after challenges to their signatures were brought forward to the agency. One of the candidates knocked off the ballot yesterday was Democrat Charisse Daniels, who was looking to challenge GOP incumbent John Jagler in the 37th AD.

Schimel: Last of backlogged rape kits submitted for testing

MADISON — AG Brad Schimel has announced the last of the backlogged rape kits have been submitted to outside labs for testing. Schimel previously projected the state would test the remaining kits by the end of the year and said during a news conference Tuesday that timeline remained on track.
