Maybe there’s a correlation between disrespect and teacher shortages.

For Donald Trump to win in November, he needs to remind voters that their lives were better when he was president and that they will be better again if he is reelected.

Another semester, another leadership failure. UWM Chancellor Mark Mone continues to speak with a forked tongue, carefully parsing statements to please all sides, while in practice aiding and abetting anti-Israel activists in breaking university rules.

Boycott and divestment campaigns helped end apartheid in South Africa. In the U.S., they’ve helped secure better pay for farmworkers and defeat Jim Crow laws. Moving our money collectively can be a powerful lever.

Unpredictable rain and extreme heat will impact all of us.

As the climate crisis impacts more and more people, it is becoming increasingly difficult — and increasingly perilous — to ignore. A shift in the way we think about community is necessary. We can no longer afford to consider our sheltered enclaves as separate from the plight of others.

If the left can frighten people with lies about Project 2025, the right should be able to frighten people with the truth about Rules for Radicals. Both books clearly represent good versus evil. Project 2025 is not the evil one.

No, inflation is an increase in the quantity of money.

The decision Wisconsin makes today will reverberate through future generations. By expanding coverage for obesity medication, the Group Insurance Board can lay the foundation for a healthier, more vibrant state.

Prominent filmmakers cite past support and criticize reduced funding for local artists.

Strip away the banter, at which both candidates fought each other to a draw, and Trump emerged victorious from the debate. Trump’s vision of the future, and the allies he has chosen to help realize it, is far more optimistic than Harris’s bleak projection, and her terrifying allies.

There came a point in the debate that Trump went bonkers, and you could almost feel the GOP hopes that remained in the nation seep out and into the night.

Harris did the main thing she needed to do. She came off as presidential. She convinced anyone who had doubts that she could be commander in chief. She passed easily through the narrow window between angry and weak. She did great. And for the last hour of the debate Trump was Trump. He actually wasn’t any worse than he was against Joe Biden but this time the contrast was stark.

Takeaways from the Trump-Harris debate.

His recent speeches have been long and rambling over many disconnected topics. He slurred some words; he was factually way off the mark many times; and he wildly exaggerated scenarios. His incoherence raised the likelihood that he has some level of early dementia.
