In the last few years, Congress has taken steps to bring down medication prices, including by allowing Medicare to negotiate prices of certain drugs. But to truly bring down costs for all Americans, Congress must now look to PBMs and address the conflicts of interest that exist in their business model, or costs will never be contained.
We stand at a time in our nation’s history where there is great division and consternation about our direction as a nation moving forward. The time to honor the birth of this great nation should be a time when we set aside our differences and seek to foster a greater understanding.

Since the executive is empowered and charged by the people to exercise these extraordinary powers on the people’s behalf, the executive must be free of the threat of criminal prosecution for executing their charge within their official capacity.
If there was ever a case that needed a unanimous ruling from the Court, a shining light as to the limits of audacious attempts to thwart the law, this was the case. Instead, we have further evidence that the Supreme Court is a partisan political body where a far-right-wing element proved more than willing to expand its reactionary ideology and do so to align with what the nation knows is a dangerous and poisonous dagger to our democracy.
While the majority of the US Supreme Court does not define the “core constitutional powers,” certainly one of those “core” powers is the power given to the president to be the commander in chief of our armed forces. Former President Donald Trump has been a proponent of loosening the rules for our armed forces when they are abroad to allowing them to commit war crimes. This is not an exaggeration.
