Grafton, Wisconsin – Earlier today, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced that Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District is a 2018 Battleground target. Five months after starting his campaign, Dan Kohl has placed this race on the national radar and the campaign continues to gain momentum. Having recently completed a Community Conversation tour that took him across the 6th District, Kohl has outraised Glenn Grothman on every report to date and had an $80,000 cash on hand advantage after the last reporting period.
In October, Grothman himself acknowledged the strength of Dan Kohl’s challenge, stating that he is “apprehensive for the future” and in “the toughest race of my political career.” He went on to say that “When you talk nationwide about the Republicans losing the House next time, this is one of the seats that’s going to be in play.” Today’s move by the DCCC supports Glenn’s analysis.
