A new TV ad knocks U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin for her handling of a scandal at the Tomah VA Medical Center, saying she was “slow to protect our heroes, but quick to protect herself.”
The Illinois-based Restoration PAC is spending $465,000 on the ad buy, which will run statewide starting tomorrow. The 30-second ad says the Madison Dem “did nothing” after learning of “serious problems” at the VA, and blamed the issues on a staffer.
The ad ends with the question, “Why would we ever vote for her again?”
The ad comes after a recent radio ad from the Iowa-based Americas PAC, which also went after Baldwin over the Tomah VA. That controversial ad blamed Baldwin for the deaths of three veterans who were treated at the hospital, and has faced backlash about the veracity of its contents.s.
