Gov. Scott Walker today announced Joe Fadness as his campaign manager as he continues to send signs that he will run for re-election next year.
Walker has said he will wait until after the budget is done to make a formal announcement on whether he’ll seek a third term, but he has continued to drop hints about his intentions. Yesterday, he tweeted, “#TBT to our first campaign to move WI forward. We’ve come a long way. We’re not done yet.” #TBT refers to throw back Thursday.
Walker called Fadness, a former state party executive director, a “trusted member” of his team.
“As I finalize my decision, having a campaign manager as skilled and bright as Joe putting together a team and building the infrastructure necessary for victory gives me even greater faith that we can continue to move Wisconsin forward,” Walker said in a statement released through the state GOP.
