Meeting to focus on final design improvements of WIS 136 (Old US 12)

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region in Madison is announcing a public involvement meeting to discuss final design concepts including construction staging for the improvement of WIS 136 (Old US 12) from Terrytown Road – WIS 159 in the City and Town of Baraboo and Village of West Baraboo in Sauk County. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sauk County West Square Building (B24/30 room), 505 Broadway Street, Baraboo, WI.

WIS 136 (Old US 12) from Terrytown Road to WIS 159 is planned to be improved in 2018 following the completion of the US 12/Baraboo Bypass project. The project includes pavement replacement; repair and resurfacing; curb ramp, curb and gutter; storm sewer inlet reconstruction; bridge deck resurfacing; railing replacement; and reconstruction of the WIS 136 (Old US 12)/WIS 159 intersection.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions regarding this project. Maps showing the proposed improvements will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
