[Madison, WI]— While Republicans are fighting for reforms to our tax and health care systems at the federal level, Senator Tammy Baldwin is embracing Senator Sanders’ radical government-run health care system and picking Washington over Wisconsin. The plan would, by some estimates, cost $32 trillion – which the Baldwin-Sanders proposal suggests raising taxes to fund.
“While Wisconsin Republicans are fighting for reform, Senator Baldwin is once again picking Washington over Wisconsin,” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Wisconsin voted to take power back from Washington last November but Senator Baldwin can’t stop empowering her allies in D.C., cosponsoring a $32 trillion single-payer, government-run health care plan that will raise taxes and put Washington even more in charge.”
