AG Schimel: Statement on confirmed death due to synthetic cannabinoids

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has confirmed a death in Milwaukee County related to the use of synthetic cannabinoid (“fake weed”) use. In July, Attorney General Brad Schimel, along with Milwaukee County Medical Examiner Dr. Brian Peterson and Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales, warned citizens about the dangers of synthetic cannabinoid use. “This confirmed death is exactly what we feared, and I am personally asking retailers, for the safety of your community – stop selling these dangerous synthetic cannabinoids and pull them off your shelves immediately,” said Attorney General Schimel. “We cannot allow Wisconsinites, particularly our
