President Trump has taken to Twitter to endorse the GOP winners of the U.S. Senate and 1st CD primaries.

He also again highlighted his support of Gov. Scott Walker, whom the president praised on Twitter as a “tremendous governor” and officially endorsed Monday night.

“Scott Walker is very special and will have another great win in November,” Trump wrote today. “He has done a fantastic job as Governor of Wisconsin and will always have my full support and Endorsement!”

Trump, who previously hadn’t weighed in on the Republican U.S. Senate race, in a tweet this morning applauded state Sen. Leah Vukmir’s “great win” over former Marine Kevin Nicholson. Vukmir will go on to face U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Madison, in November.

“You beat a very tough and good competitor and will make a fantastic Senator after winning in November against someone who has done very little,” Trump wrote.

Trump also congratulated UW regent and 1st CD Republican Bryan Steil on his “wonderful win” in the four-way GOP primary to take the seat of outgoing Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Janesville.

He added Steil “will be replacing a great guy in Paul Ryan, and your win in November will make the entire State of Wisconsin very proud.”

Steil faces Dem ironworker Randy Bryce this fall.
