Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, declared to Republican activists Saturday that “freedom is on the line” in this fall’s elections and implored the crowd to spread the party’s message before voters head to the polls.

Vos dismissed media reports of a “so-called blue wave” coming, saying voters will reject Dems once they learn what they would do if in charge.

Vos said Dems want to raise taxes, reduce the power of the individual, increase the size of government and fund Planned Parenthood.

Vos said Republicans know what Dems want to do would cripple the state’s culture. But he said their friends and neighbors need to know, too.

“I can tell you in the state Assembly, there will be no blue waves crashing in Wisconsin,” Vos said.
