Meeting to focus on the need for improving the roadway and roadway alternatives

(WAUKESHA, WI) – Waukesha County is announcing a “public involvement meeting” to discuss roadway improvements to County Highway O (S. Moorland Road) on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. The meeting will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the New Berlin Public Library (15105 W Library Lane, New Berlin, WI). The project extends approximately 0.25 miles from just north of the I-43 westbound ramps to just north of County Highway I (Beloit Road) in the City of New Berlin (map attached).

Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2020. Minor right of way acquisition and temporary grading easements are anticipated, although the extents are not fully know at this time.

Representatives from Waukesha County and their design consultant, raSmith, will be available to introduce the project team, discuss the project, answer questions, and gather input and comments from the public. Exhibits will be on display showing roadway layout proposals. The meeting will be open-house format with no formal presentation.

Persons with a concern for, or knowledge of, historical or archaeological resources, drainage problems, or environmental issues, such as hazardous waste and underground storage tanks, are encouraged to attend this meeting and provide information to the project team.
