Supreme Court candidate Lisa Neubauer introduces herself as a “mom with a 30-year legal career serving the people of Wisconsin” in her first TV ad of the race.

Her campaign said the ad is a six-figure buy that will begin running today in the Madison, Green Bay, Milwaukee, La Crosse and Wausau markets. Rival Brian Hagedorn, a fellow judge on the 2nd District Court of Appeals, released his first ad Feb. 19.

The narrator in the ad plays up the endorsements for Neubauer, who was appointed to the Appeals Court in 2007 and won re-election in 2008 and 2014. The narrator says that support includes more than 300 judges, district attorneys and law enforcement officers as the spot shows Neubauer on a bench in a black robe and walking with sheriffs John Matz, of Winnebago County, and Paul Susienka, of Bayfield County.

After introducing herself, Neubauer says, “As chief judge, I’ve made sure that victims and families receive justice, and that’s what I’ll keep doing on the Supreme Court.”
