Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said the following after the Air Force officially awarded an F-35 basing to Truax Field in Madison: “Today’s news ensures Wisconsin’s 115th Fighter Wing, based at Truax Field in Madison, will now receive a critical upgrade with the F-35 replacing the aging F-16 fighter jets currently in service. The new fighters will help maintain U.S. air superiority and keep our state and country safe and secure. The F-35s will also ensure the Air National Guard continues to play an important role in Wisconsin’s communities and economy.” ###

Lauri Asbury announces candidacy for Wisconsin State Assembly 55th District

Neenah, Wis. (April 15, 2020) – Longtime Neenah resident and Neenah Joint School District board member Lauri Asbury has announced her candidacy for the Wisconsin State Assembly’s 55th District. The seat is currently held by Mike Rohrkaste, who has announced he will not seek re-election. Asbury’s campaign platforms draw on her extensive education experience and community involvement. During these unprecedented times, state elected officials are not able to campaign in traditional ways such as going door-to-door for campaign signatures. Asbury is asking for nomination signatures by downloading a nomination form from her website at asburyforassembly.com or requesting a no contact front porch drop-off and pick-up.

Treasurer Godlewski: $5.25 Million in new funds for distance learning needs during COVID-19
