U.S. Rep. Kind: Demands the administration increase access to COVID-19 testing in Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District and across the country

Washington, DC— Following reports that the Administration is planning to end funding for community-based testing sites across the country at the end of the month, and with the number of positive COVID-19 cases surging in western Wisconsin, Rep. Ron Kind sent a letter urging the Administration to expand testing throughout Wisconsin and the country. In the last few weeks, new COVID-19 cases have spiked in La Crosse and Eau Claire counties after the state began reopening. The public health department in La Crosse County has reported a 607% increase in new cases.  “With new COVID-19 cases increasing, I am deeply concerned that any efforts to slow testing will only put more lives at risk,” said Rep.
