Milwaukee Dept. of Health: School update

MILWAUKEE – The City of Milwaukee Health Department (MHD) acknowledges the decision to open schools is an emotional one for all parties involved. Children and their safety and development are our priority during this pandemic. We will be doing weekly school safety plan updates on Fridays in order to keep the community apprised of the school plans submitted and approved. As of today, MHD has received 60 total complete plans. In order for a plan to be complete, it must include a MHD K-12 Safety Assessment Checklist. Trump looms large in minds of young Wisconsin voters

Young voters of all political stripes in Wisconsin agree on a big motivating factor driving them to the polls this fall: President Donald Trump. Sen. Erpenbach: Applauds DHS change in health care benefits policy for incarcerated individuals

Wisconsin Voters Alliance appealing ruling that private election grants not barred under Wisconsin law

The Wisconsin Voters Alliance is appealing a ruling that rejected its bid to prevent five cities from using $6.3 million in private grants to help cover the costs of running next month’s election amid a pandemic. In a filing yesterday, the group asked federal Judge William Griesbach to issue an injunction preventing Green Bay, Kenosha, Madison, Milwaukee and Racine from using the money while the alliance appeals.
