Madison…Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) delivers the latest GOP Weekly Radio Address focusing on moving forward after the election.

I’m Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.

The voters have spoken and they have returned a good conservative majority to the legislature. It’s been a long, trying campaign cycle and I think most Americans, like most Wisconsinites, want us to start focusing on the policy that affects your family instead of the politics that affect politicians.

Assembly Republicans will begin the next legislative session focusing on the health and well-being of Wisconsinites.

We’ll help our state continue to battle the coronavirus; assist our businesses and especially the unemployed, and working hard to revive and keep the economy of our state growing strong.

We will pass a responsible state budget that prioritizes health care and education while making sure every child who deserves an excellent education gets one right here in Wisconsin.

We know we’re also not going to ask taxpayers to pay more of their hard-earned money to your Wisconsin state government.

We’ll continue to protect our valuable natural resources, assist Wisconsin farmers and support our tourism and hospitality industries that have been hit so hard during this pandemic.

Our police will not be defunded. We’ll keep neighborhoods safe by supporting our police and finding bipartisan solutions that support law and order.

That’s just the beginning. Challenges and opportunities lie ahead but we’re more than ready to take them on.
