Philip Shulman, a spokesman for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, ripped speeches at the state GOP convention as “delusional conspiracy theories and outright lies” that put the nation at risk and will cost Donald Trump the presidency.
“These speakers and Wisconsin Republicans are following Trump’s lead by ignoring the deadly crisis that is COVID-19 and don’t have the slightest understanding of the pain and suffering so many people across the badger state are experiencing because of this president’s gross incompetence,” Shulman said.
Meanwhile state Dem Chair Ben Wikler today knocked Republicans for meeting in person amid the pandemic and used the GOP convention as part of a fundraising appeal.
Let’s make sure the GOP’s COVID Convention backfires,” Wikler tweeted.
