KENOSHA – The United Auto Workers Southeastern Wisconsin CAP Council endorsed Angela Cunningham, candidate for Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge Branch 6.

In their endorsement, the UAW stated, “The UAW Southeastern WI Area CAP Council is proud to join with many of our friends in the Kenosha community to endorse Angela Cunningham for Circuit Court Judge Branch 6. We believe she shares our UAW values of fair and equitable treatment for all. Angela’s legal experience and a strong record of community involvement make her an excellent choice.”

In reference to the endorsement, Angela said, “I have the utmost respect for the union members of my community and I am humbled to accept the endorsement of the UAW.”

 

The UAW joins other local organizations and unions that have endorsed Angela Cunningham, including the Kenosha Education Association, the Working Families Party, the Wisconsin Justice Initiative, and the Coalition for Dismantling Racism.

 

Ballots will be cast on April 6th for the general election. If victorious, Cunningham will make history as the first Black person elected to the bench in Kenosha.
