Former President Donald Trump in a pre-recorded virtual speech continued to argue he won Wisconsin in last year’s presidential election.

He praised GOP Chair Andrew Hitt and Wisconsin voters for helping him gain votes and support in the state. Trump said they helped him win the state in 2020, though the certified results show otherwise. Recounts Trump requested in Dane and Milwaukee counties didn’t alter the final results significantly. And while he said others are trying to cover up the true results of the election, he added Wisconsin had a “great election.”

“We had actually great results in Wisconsin, as you know in 2016 we won and as you also know in 2020 we won,” he said. “But that hasn’t been so adjudged yet, or if it was perhaps, because what took place up there is absolutely ridiculous.”

Trump and supporters filed several unsuccessful lawsuits challenging Wisconsin’s results.

Trump in a statement yesterday slammed Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu and Senate President Chris Kapenga, saying they are “working hard to cover up election corruption” in the state by “actively trying” to prevent a forensic audit of the November 2020 election.

He also warned they could face primary challenges in their GOP districts if they don’t pursue an audit.

“Don’t fall for their lies! These REPUBLICAN “leaders” need to step up and support the people who elected them by providing them a full forensic investigation,” the statement read. “If they don’t, I have little doubt that they will be primaried and quickly run out of office.”

Trump also said Dems are ruining the country and he wants to stop it.

“We’re not going to let people cancel our culture and terminate our borders: open borders all over the place,” he said.”We’re going to be together a long time and we will make America great again and we will always make America first. We’re not going to make it last, which is what they’re doing.”
