Republicans threaten legal action against La Follette for not submitting paperwork calling for convention of states

Republicans threatened to take legal action against Secretary of State Doug La Follette if he fails to send copies of a resolution to hold a convention of the states to amend the Constitution to members of Congress. Sen. Kathleen Bernier, R-Chippewa Falls, and Rep. Dan Knodl, R-Germantown, in a Capitol press conference did not specify what kind of legal action they would take if La Follette does not send copies to congressional leaders. The two argued La Follete has failed to do his job since March 9, when the resolution was given to La Follette for messaging and they would

WisDems: What they’re saying, faith leaders condemn attacks on abortion

MADISON, Wis. – After Republicans’ decades-long war attacking reproductive rights, the far-right majority of the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, and an archaic Wisconsin law that bans almost all abortion could now be enforced. Republican politicians have made it clear this is just the beginning of their extreme agenda – with ultra-MAGA Republicans pushing for a total abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest. Wisconsin faith leaders are speaking out and condemning far-right attacks on reproductive health care: Rabbi Steven Adams: “It’s [overturning Roe v. Wade] an infringement on religious rights. And if they can do that, with this, they can do it

WisGOP: AOC and Lt. Gov. Barnes, taxes for thee, but not for me

A recent report from The Washington Examiner shows that New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been racking up fines for her overdue taxes in New York for over 5 years. Since AOC’s endorsement of Senate candidate Mandela Barnes, it has become increasingly clear that AOC and Barnes have a lot more in common than just their radical policies. Barnes also has a history of being delinquent on his taxes: In 2018, Barnes did not pay any income tax while campaigning for Lt. Governor. In 2019, Barnes said that “the powerful and privileged [should] pay their fair share in taxes,” but that same year he was penalized for failing to

Sen. Wanggaard: Statement on sentencing of Madison rioter

“Judge Josann Reynolds should be ashamed of the sentence, or really the lack of it, she gave to Jacob Capps. It was a complete joke. It wasn’t even a slap on the wrist, it’s almost a pat on the back.   “Two years after the violence in Madison, and Capps was ordered to pay $5,000 and got as little as 18-months probation. The restitution order, if he pays it at all, doesn’t come close to actual costs. And taxpayers will be left holding the bag for everything else.   “No wonder the rioters in Madison didn’t care about the consequences when they

Look Ahead America: Releases 151 pages of Wisconsin clerks’ responses to voter data

Washington, DC – One year ago, Look Ahead America published The Wisconsin Report in which it confirmed that due to the number of questionable and illegal ballots in the state of Wisconsin, its 2020 General Elections results were unknowable. We have since contacted each of the affected municipal clerks with all of our evidence, as well as the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC). Instead of assisting, the WEC rejected our formal and well-documented complaint and instead sent its clerks guidelines that they could ignore our inquiries and reminded them how to make determinations in light of our evidence. Nevertheless, several district attorneys are
